HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

Bone china is fragile. Improper use may lead to unexpected accidents or injuries.

Please read the instructions on this page carefully and handle with care.

For Safe Use

After opening the package, please first check the products for any errors, cracks or chips.

Please avoid the following actions, as they may cause cracking:

  • Impact
  • Sudden heating or cooling
  • Heating an empty vessel
  • Boiling or heating in water at over 60℃ (140F)

If cracking occurs, please stop using the product and exercise due caution to avoid injury from the damaged parts.

Please do not use the product for any other purpose than its intended use.

Vases or interior items should be placed in a stable position.

Use of electronic devices

Please follow the instructions indicated on the product itself, its attached leaflet or its packaging, if any.

When using microwave or dishwasher, please follow the machine’s instructions.

Please be careful not to burn yourself, as the product gets hot after heated in a microwave oven. Decorated parts especially become hot.

Please do not tightly seal the product when you cover it with plastic wrap to heat it in a microwave oven.

Maintenance & cleaning

Please remove any stains immediately after use to avoid them from becoming difficult to remove later.

Please use a pH-neutral cleaning agent and a soft sponge or cloth.

Please do not use a metal scourer, abrasive nylon scourer or cleanser, as these may lead to scratches on the surface or damage its decoration.

Tea and other stubborn stains should be removed using a commercially available oxygen bleaching agent in the specified manner.

Please be careful not to scrape the surface too hard with a knife, as this will create scars on the surface that cannot be removed.

Lime scales and metal marks of knives and forks should be removed using a liquid cleanser (which is not rough to the fingertips). However, scratch marks of the knives due to vigorous scrubbing cannot be removed.

Please remove any stains immediately after use to avoid them from becoming difficult to remove later.

Please do not use a metal scourer, abrasive nylon scourer or cleanser, as these may lead to scratches on the surface or damage its decoration.

After washing, the items should be dried thoroughly and stored in a place with low humidity.

Note for special glazes

Special glazes, such as reactive glazes, colour glazes and matte glazes, are applied on some products.

  • As the glazes are sprayed one by one, variations in colour are to be expected, and each piece is subtly one of a kind. Please enjoy the uniqueness of the individual pieces.
  • It will be more difficult to clean off the stain if you leave it for too long. Please try to clean immediately after use.
  • For better storage, it is recommended to have a sheet of paper in between plates to prevent scratches caused by rubbing.

Other instructions

Please do not place parts of the bone china without glaze in contact with vinegar for an extended period of time, as this will damage the body.

Items such as teapots and cups are delicately shaped. Please handle with care when you carry or wash them.

If the lid has a tab to prevent it from falling off, place the lid with the tab toward the handle. When pouring, hold the handle with one hand and lightly press down on the lid with the other hand.
